    Enjoying “fall”

Ma Nature seems to have realized it’s still fall according to the calendar and has been playing nice with the weather. We’ve been enjoying the fire pit every other night lately and don’t even need a toque. Looks like we get till next weekend before it drops off again which is great. Even having some friends over and that’s nice for a change. Usually winter is when most of our visiting occurs since it’s a bit slower here.

My spiced Captain, ginger, and lime is awaiting me........... SF we need Thirsty Thursday to fire back up again. St Nicholas left a bottle of Rumchata in my boots and a carton of eggnog in the fridge overnight.......... good times ahead.

How’s everyone else making the best of nice weather and a lockdown?

    Cheers🍻

No open water here now. Got to take the hoe and dig a few dams out and then we’ll do target practice. Like shooting fish in an empty barrel. Nothin’ better than popping a big dam👍

Getting lots done here too, put a new roof on a cattle shed this week. Bonfire supper at the neighbours tonight. Yesterday spent the day in the bush out west and found a nice Christmas tree and a trailer load of firewood. Sure haven't been inside much these days. 16c here today. Nice to work without heavy winter gear.

Doesn't need to be Thursday for a ****tail LoL. Who am I kidding, pluralize.
Got to the range today first time since April. Broke in the new PCC in 45.
New to me Kimber in 45 and warmed up the 6.5 chassis rig. Son enjoyed it, all that matters.

Tinning old shop roof and there is no snow and no wind, plus 5. Hard to believe this time last year we already had 6 weeks of winter. Pretty easy on hay and straw supply but many are worried about their wells.

Took the family out for a skate on a big slough yesterday. Sun shining, plus 5 and barely a breath of wind! Ice was a bit rough but all the arena's are closed and it's been too mild to get my backyard rink flooded.

Plus temps? That would be nice. It’s been pleasant, but we have lots of snow, and it sure isn’t fall here.

A way out here, we always get the short straw!

Trying some Chinese surplus, seems accurate and cheaper than 22wmr.
